okay, so my track is almost complete... all i need is some more dirt (to get rid of that ghetto-looking wood... haha)
it was all done in about i would say a total of 10-15 hours... that includes: clearing the lot, getting dirt, picking rocks (more picking to come) paking the track, laying out the track, getting the logs for the barriers, etc, etc.
im hoping to make it bigger... anyway, if i can get them to work, here they are:
EDIT
Click on the link to check out the pics... ill have the before and after up soon hopefully

Looks great. A couple tips I have are to get some bright, defined boundaries (Unless it's easier to see than in the pics), like some of that orange ribbon stuff they sell in hardware stores.
Also, from personal experience, run the track as much as you can before building anything like jumps or whoops. And when you start, build them one at a time in certain areas, and don't put in too many or it slows down the 'flow' of the track. If you run the track 'bare' for a while you'll get a feeling of what you should put where.

yeah... good point.. at first i got all the stuff cleared out, (before i had any track set-up) i just took my e-maxx down there and just drove around, trying to find a cool layout... i realy like it... and thanks for the ribbon idea..
Also, i dont kno if anyone here does BMX, but i was told that if you use a propane torch on dirt jumps they are stronger, better lasting... is this true? thanks for the posts guys

neon orange spraypaint would work good to make the barriers more visible.

thanks for the reply guys...
any suggestions for track ideas?
in the link above^^^ there is a blank layout of my current track... the green spots are the trees... id like to make more jumps, but im not set on an idea, so if you have some time, please take the time and design your "dream" track... please keep in mind that i will have friends over to drive that have never driven before, so it can be so challenging that they get discouraged... hope to hear from you all soon.
you can send designs to my e-mail and if you want, i will host them on my picturetrail account

changed the track some more... i put a chicane (sp?) right past the turn going to the back straight... also, in the middle of the track where its really tight, i set it up so that you can go on either side of the tree now... the last change i did for the day is to lower the steepness of the face of the double... its all pretty cool, i like the changes so far...

looking good pedeman, do you plan to chop the rest of those trees down though? They'll cause blind spots and damage(unless you've got that all figured out already).

thanks for the comments guys...
nah, im not allowed to chop down the rest of the trees.. im hoping to get in a drivers stand once i get the track up to a level where you dont get messed up every other turn or so... its just kinda pointless to worry about that now cause we all here (me, my brother, my dad, friends, etc) crash like every lap... haha

If there are new drivers going to be on this, put in table tops. Less damage, ant fall in between the jumps and smack into the landing. :)

hah, evader, done... haha
since last update, i got a new rake... might not sound like much, but the rake is sweet... i can get little tiny pebbles off the track w/o any problem... now its time to start adding jumps :)
