Team Losi now offers adaptors that allow the use of the XXX-NT quick-change “QC” wheels on the XXX-T MF2 and all similar Losi electric trucks. The LOSA2995 QC Wheel Adaptors are machined from premium aircraft alloy and feature a tough hard anodized finish for both smooth operation and durability. Electric racers can use either the yellow LOSA7064 or white LOSA7065 QC wheels as used on the AD2 in a bolt-on fashion only. Electric racers will enjoy the freedom of potentially only having to carry one type of wheel. With the use of the LOSA1027 AD2 front axles, the QC wheels fit both the front and rear of your electric truck as well as your AD2 if you also race nitro. This also allows you to use worn rear tires on the front as has become popular on hard packed tracks without buying additional wheels and tires. The ingenious design allows the adaptors to be both lightweight and compact so performance and handling is not adversely affected. The special machined wheel nuts are sold separately. Look for these and all genuine Team Losi performance parts and accessories at hobby shops and racetracks worldwide.

LOSA2995 QC Wheel Adaptors for Electric Trucks, with nuts: $17.99
LOSA2996 QC Wheel Adaptor Nuts only $7.50

Cant you just put the actual ad2 quick adapters on your truck? so you actualy have a quick change rather than bolt on adapters the are just compatible with the wheels.

It's just a wheel compatibility thing, you still use nuts (actually, it looks like a bolt) to hold the wheels on.

I don't see how its a "quick change". I see that it lets you use the QC wheels from the AD2, but it looks like you still have to unscrew something to get the wheel off.

Well I suppose, although they really don't make it clear, that you could avoid the hassles with the two bearings, the spacer and the little teenie tiny washer being lost as you are changing front wheels at the track on the XXX-T.

But I don't see a lot of electric guys using their old rear tires on the front, so this hardly seems worth the effort, unless you also run NT, then great.

The idea is that if you race both nitro and electric Losi trucks, the adapters will let you run one style of rim on both trucks, front or rear. There is no "quick change" benefit, the product just lets you use quick-change wheels--albeit in a bolt-on manner.

I can hardly wait for these. I run at a few tracks were I run rear tires on the front. But the benefit is all my tires will be able to go on gas truck or electric truck front or rear again. I only need one box of tires that had everything I can run! :) This will be great!

i dont see why you would need QC for an electric truck anyways, i dont think your tires are going to go bad in 5 minutes.

THIS IS NOT FOR QUICK CHANGING OF TIRES! These adapters allow you to use the gas truck wheels that are called quick change wheels bacause that is how the gas truck wheels can be used. These adapters just allow you to use that style of rim that the AD2 gas truck uses on your electric cars. These adapters screw the tire on just like you do now so it is not a quick change setup.

Too bad they are not QC, there is more to it than just changing them during a race because of worn out rubber. Once you use QC, you'll never want to screw another wheel on.

Actually I find it a pain to screw those inserts in. I know you do not NEED to do it but it is nice to make sure they stay put. That is my only gripe about the QC wheels. They are pretty nice. It would be nice to at least have the right rear QC for motor changes and slipper adjustments! :)

Well put, I wasn't seeing the quickchange side of it.

Edit:
That cut away shot kicks a.... uhhh its really cool.

I have a bad feeling about that nut backing out during a heat.

I would not worry about it too much. I would put a dab of thread lock on the axle or nut everyonce in while will ensure it stays put.

Absolutely ZERO worry about the nuts coming loose. I've been running these for a while and they're awesome. These adapters are Aaron Waldron-approved! :D

Casper - You can use a dab of glue on the inserts on the gas truck; not so much you can't get them off, just enough to hold it on there.

You do not need those stinking screws if you are not going to quick change! :) I can hardly wait for these to hit the shelves. I have been checking the Horizon site daily!
