Hey, Iam getting the Trinity Speed Gems 2 Onyx 14 turn motor for my Traxxas Rustler. What pinion size would I use for the stock gears in it??

i would go up to a 20t with the stock gears. rustlers usuallu come with 87t and 84t spurs. try using the 20t pinion with the 84t spur. also getting a wide variety of gears will help you fine tune it. but beware cuz you will have to adjust the motor mounting position to accomodate gear sizes

The stock Stinfger 20 turn motor comes with an 18 tooth I think, why would i want to go up to a 20? Wouldn't I want to go down??

Try it with the pinion your truck came with first. Then buy the others and then compare. I'd buy a 20 tooth also for my next gear choice. Just becaus you buy a faster motor doesn't mean you have to gear down.
