Since most ESCs are now one-touch setups, you dial in the ESC as usual, and advance the throttle trim to give you a little brake when the trigger is at neutral. Not sure which trim that is on the M8, but on most you just turn the main centering trim.
With a gas vehicle, you can just dial that in with the linkage.

So, anyone know how to dial an LRP 7.1 to have massive drag breaks? I have the break dial up to 9 but I think there is another way. I would read the manual but since I bought it used I don't have one :( .
download the manual from here.

PERFECT!!!!!!! :D Thanks Baih!
You can do it on the transmitter, but it's not ideal.
Adjust the trim so neutral on the stick is in the braking zone, then re adjust your end points. The trouble is, you end up with a dead zone when you move the stick forward from the neutral position.
The new Novak and LRP brushless speed controllers will have inbuilt drag break adjustment with no dead zone. Excellent stuff!! :)
