noisy engine

hey, i was driveing my T4 today in the back yard and then all of a sudden the engine (the stock 15T motor) got really loud and raelly hot when i touched it, i didn't go off a ramp or nething just drivin around in the dirt-does anybody know what the problem could be??

Did your gear mesh get too tight? Did something get in the differential? Just check the diffs and gear mesh. If nothing shows up, you can tear apart the motor to see if a rock or something got in there.

It could be a broken brush, or the motor has worn/gotten dirty to the point where noise and heat were the result.

Examine the condition of the brushes, comm, and clean out the motor and see if that helps.

the motor may have been hot from running in the grass but to check if the motor is still making noise move it away from the spur gear and just run it free to see how it sounds

alright, i took apart the engine and cleaned it and everything, it's still really loud and gets hot-could it be from the brushes becuase i haven't changed them-ever??

Does the truck roll free without the motor in it? If yes then it could be the brushes. :confused:

i just drove it again and the motor was fine, idk what i did but it's fine-weird. but thx for ur guyz's help
