Boiling tires of the rims question?

Do i need to hold the tires completley under the water of can i boil half and flit it over?

I boiled half and then flipped them over. But the other side didn't take as long because it was already hot from the steam.

I boiled mine for a half hour submerged, I went out and bought a cheap pot and put a rock on top of them. Use gloves while removing the tires from the rims http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif
