hi,

i am new to radio controled nitro cars/trucksa nd wonder if someone can help me. i am a masive fan of landrovers and want to bulid a radio controled one with very similar spec to the real thing but scaled down. how much out put torque does a typical engine give out? Are the radio controled nitro cars/trucks waterprof and is it best to start from scratc and build it up bit by bit or to by a cheep one and take parts?

Welcome aboard Luke! :D

It depends on your abilities and how much time and money you want to invest. If it were me, I'd probably buy several kits and hack them all together.

You could start with the offerings at Tamiya's web site (http://www.tamiya.com/), they are to leader in scale accuracy in RC. They might even have a land rover or two already. They're all electric but the designs might get you going.
