Over the weekend of September 23-24, someone broke into the office of Serpent USA in Miami, Florida, and stole a lot of equipment including car kits, engines, display cars, starter boxes, computers, and other stuff.

Whoever it was knew a lot about Serpent cars, and what is "desirable". They were very selective in what they took.

If you hear anything about any special deals on Serpent equipment that is "just too good to be true", PLEASE call Serpent USA at (305) 639-9665 as soon as possible. If you hear anything suspicious, that just doesn't "sound right", please call anyway.

Whoever did this has to be someone involved in on-road gas car racing, or they wouldn't have known what to take.

I'm going to post the above in several conferences, so as many people as possible get to see it as soon as possible. Hopefully someone will hear something that will help track down whoever did this! Please print it out, and leave a copy at your local hobby shop, so they'll know what to do if somoene offers them a "special" deal on Serpent Merchandise!!! If they do hear something, they should call Ed Enberg at Serpent USA, at (305) 639-9665.

....or if you think you heard something about the above, just send me an e-mail, and I'll get it to Serpent USA.

wow, looks like some low badget racer decided to go pro the easy (and affordable) way and stole the kits istead of buying them. serpent guys, if i were you i would start looking at the national races for an unsponsored racer with ton of serpent equipment.

I doubt that person is going to take all his new hot gear to the track. He/she will probably sell it on Ebay or to friends. It ***** to hear of things like that happening but you'd think Serpent would have a decent security system.

I'll post a message in my site's newsletter for people to keep their eyes open for suspicious sellers.
