I am going to start racing off-road this spring and I need some 2400's for my truck. I am not really sure on what kind of pack I should get Trinity, Orion, ect. Can you guys help me out? By the way I need matched packs. I don't want 3000's because I have heard stories of them going bad. Thanks for the help. :)

If you take care of the 3000's correctly they will not go bad. Read the october 2001 issue, it shows you how to take care of them.

Honestly, the new Stock Metal Hydrides have now become the way to fly. They will give out the amps easier, killer run time, and great volts. I would get either SMC, or Trinity packs.
My guess, is the new Sanyo HV batteries will be awesome, but, it is too early to tell.
If you do not yet have a Nimh charger, then check out SMC, they are excellent cells

Hey check out this page (http://www.kmrbatteries.com). I own a pack and they're great! Inexpensive too. Better than smc which cost 110$. :D

I just got my KMR cells in a couple days ago, the packaging was great which is a nice touch on top of the low price. For even cheaper prices, check Ebay where they sell cells often. I paid $40 for 6 matched 2400 cells with 290 sec runtime (@30 amp discharge). The transaction went very quick and smooth. Now I just have to wait for my battery bars to show up...
