So I just bought a ProLine Crowd Pleazer shell for my truck, an Evader, and some Faskolor. Now, apparantly RC companies don't like these things called instructions, as I didn't get any. I gat Charcoal, Faspearl Bluse, and Fasorange. I need directions, tips, and maybe even sopme paint ideas (using those colours, as LHS is 2 hours away, and the one that stocks Fascolor is 3)
Like washing dierections, what side of the wing do I paint, trim and ream first or after, ect...? Thanks for your help. :D

EDIT: I do have an airbrush, and how do I thin Faskolor, if at all?

For washing, just wash it with warm soapy water and dry it off making sure all the soap is gone and the water is gone also. For the wing, I would paint the back of it so you see the shiny smooth part when you look at it from the front and above. I usually do all the trimming and holes before I paint so I dont scratch the paint when done and it also makes it easier to mount the body instead of guessing where the holes go. For ideas you can so a simple flame job with blue flames and orange background and you can shade it with the charcoal to give it depth. There's so many designs you can do which is the hard part for me. Good luck and post pics when done. :D

I would like to do flames, but suck at cutting them out. Any tips on that?

Kid, flames are a pain in the butt because of the complex curves. If you take your time and go slow and let the knife do the work, it'll come out like you want it. Don't rush it. Another option for paints is to find a Michael's arts and crafts store nearby and buy some Createx paints. It's the same stuff as Faskolor. To thin it, use alcohol or windex. The blue dye in windex will not show in any of your paints. If you want the easy way to do flames, then buy the XXX Main vinyl masks.

Lastly, re-read Haunted Myst's How-to Guide (http://www.rctech.net/articles/painting_hauntedmyst.shtml). Reading it once just doesn't cut it. Everytime you get ready to paint a body, you need to look through it, you'll find something you overlooked.

Can I back my body with any colour? Or does it have to be white/silver/black?

use your charcoal to back it.

EvaderST, you can back your paint with whatever color you want. Be forewarned that backing colors with different colors might produce unwanted results. If you want to keep the color that's sprayed fairly true, back it with white or silver, unless it's chrome which should always be backed with black.

If you're not sure of the results, test it on a scrap piece of lexan. See what the results of backing yellow with purple are, you never know, you just might like the results.
