I need a new power supply for my ICE and don't know if I should get the 14 amp ps by Integy or the 15 amp ps by Rivergate. I know the ICE can use banana plugs or alligator clips but can u use banana plugs on the integy ps? I only plan to use the ps to run my ICE and just want to know which one's better.

Get the Radio Shack 20 amp for a hundred bucks. I have one and love it.

The type of plugs that your charger has should not be a deciding factor. They can be changed to whatever you want.
Now regarding the power supply, it basically boils down to quality and AMPS, both cost you money...How many chargers do you plan to run of your PS at the time. The Integy PS is very good but rated at 14A max. It is well made, compact, no fan...strictly heat sinks all around...I am not familiar with the Rivergate so I will not comment. Are you open for suggestions, and I mean educated suggestions about power supplies. If so ,just ask and I will recommend a good alternative based on what your uses will be.
BTW, the RS 20A power supply is decent for the price.

Sorry I was away for a little while, but sure I'm open for recommendations.

I'll be using the power supply only for the ICE so I just want a good reliable one.

To utilize full capabilities of the ICE, you'll need it to supply 15amps while maintaining 12volts.
The Radio Shack powersupply mentioned is a very good deal especially if you catch them on-sale.

MetallicLlama, I will PM you some very good power supplies that we have and at a very good price.
If you have noticed, I am an advocate for good and stable power supplies for chargers. In my experience, a charger is as good as the power supply that powers it. I do not want to mention them here because that would be unethical, thus I will Pm you the info.
I hope I can be of help.

I just got the Radio Shack power supply you all mentioned instead. The only thing is I wish the fan could be controlled to only turn on when necessary like the ICE but other than that it’s great. What's the best way to hook up two chargers to it? I want my friend to be able to tap his AC/DC charger into it since it has so many amps but I’m currently using the output post with my banana plugs. I've heard of just sticking copper wire into the post but are there any better alternatives?

20a @ $100.00, Wooooh, little pricey isn't they.
You should be able to find a 30A rivergate for about half that looking around on ebay

Integy or Rivergate would both be fine, I have a rivergate 15 amp and it has always worked well, I can even power two chargers off it. the integy is fine too as I have friends that use one from integy.....I dont think you could go wrong with either, just get the one that is probably more affordable or easier for you to get.....like someone already mentioned, check ebay and you can probably find a rivergate bulldog 15 0r 10 amp......

There are many solutions to your question.
The easiest one and safest would be to make a wire harness that will have bannana connectors to connect to your power supply and then attach to the wires either multiple connectors or a screw terminal connector. You can also get that at RS. I do not recommend bare wires as you can short your power supply.
You mentioned about the fan running all the time...Most power supplies are designed that way. The reason chargers switch the fan on and off is because of the heat generated during charging, there is no need to keep a fan running all the time, a power supply is assumed to be working all the time when powered, thus the fan stays on continously to cool down the FETs. The RS Ps is in such a small case that they need to keep the fans on at all times to keep thermal stability.

Here is a tutorial on how to make a power splitter- http://www.taobracing.net/review_powerstation.shtml
just add a pair of female banana plugs to your power supply.
here is a pic of my samlex which is the same power supply.
then look for stackable banana plugs. i have seen some on ebay.
these type require you to solder the wires on. 14 guage is its limit. you will have to drill the holes for bigger guage wire.

My reccomendations would be any of the Integy Power Supplies I have been using them for almost 5 years ( 3 of wich I raced ) and not a single problem. The main reason I like them is there light and ultra slim compared to the rivergates and take hardly any space ( a plus when you and other people have alot of stuff in the pit area). I would reccomend this one ( http://integy.automated-shops.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/st_prod.html?p_prodid=390&p_catid=19&sid=4wSJJh1FF2r-8eH-35105488962.bb ) , and like they say the power supply can be used arounf the closk with no problems. I have been using it for about month now and no problems, and I have used the 10 amp version for 5 years and not a single problem. Again I'd go with Integy good stuff.

Have you noticed that he already bought a Radio Shack PS. Why do you have to make a recomendation when he is not asking for it any more. The issue now is for him to get the right plugs so that he can attach multiple devices to the PS.
Please, read the content and stick to it. It seems that you always try to answer questions by saying that you own the products. What is it that you are trying to achieve, or prove?
Just an observation....

Radio Shack also has stackable banana plugs. If you're only using one or two things the stackable plugs are definitely the (simple) way to go. On any given night we have 5-6 things plugged into our power supply, at that point the stackables would be sticking out six inches from the power supply and would be a bit of a nuisance. :)
