I was recently in the same predicament. I was able to get one off of Ebay for check... so I'd check there! Also, I think you can use the TowerHobbies receiver in place of the Futaba (same stuff). Here's the link:

Best of luck!

The tower hobbies receivers should work with it considering its old futaba tech

Well I am not familier with futaba but I think but correct me if I'm wrong u could use a Novak receiver with it. I have geard they are really good receivers. I have never used one but I am planning on getting one soon.

Yes, get a Novak Reciever. They'll work with whatever radio you have now or in the future (as long as it is still AM/AM or FM/FM, not AM/FM). I've had one for years and I love it. It's tiny and it never glitches.

WhaTever you do, just dont get a hitic shredder reciever. i bought three of them for a couple of my cars. and all work like junk!!! i cant go but about 25 feet with them. i thought it might just be one, but there all like that. the only good thing is there so small they can fit anywhere.

Did you send your Shredder in for replacement/repair?
If you have any trouble with any Hitec product. They have a 2 YEAR warrantee. Hitec will stand behind there products.
Just contact them and send it in. Gary Fleigel will help you out.
