PLEASE READ FIRST!
Lately I've been board with'"post you rides here!" sites! No doubt you have too. All though neat the post leave me board! But sometimes a rare/home built ride shows up, but mostly It's usially boaring! same RTR or Kit car's shows up but diffrent person owns it! Or their rigs are Build ups with hops provided by some other manufactor there labor of money rides(Monkey see Monkey do Build Ups) and no time and skill went in to them. This is a hobby! I want to see Home built rides that hardly look like the kit or RTR that it once was! It has to have:
*50% of it home made not just bolted on! the more home made the better!
*It has to be 50% your design!
*No RTR's,Kit's, Or monkey build ups!
*Has to run and do the job it was intended for.
*Nitro or Electric.
*A description of the beast. Point out neat features you came up with!
*Action shots of your ride getting abused! To show it works:D Along with normal Pic's of your handy work!
*This has to be a one of a kind Model!
Have funnnnnnn!

Here's my ride! It started life as a Traxxas Rustler, But during the Hurry Can's down here I had a dream, I wanted to do something diffrent with my rig! Something that not many people have done and made it work! I like to call it my Rusty-Pede :D My brain Child if you will.......

It has and all Lexan chassis, shock towers, Front A arms that widen the rig to 13" the rear A arms are next! There is No Flex in the chassis! None! This rig has been to hell and back and still going! I want to make a lexan gear case but haven't figured out how to do it yet!

How well do the lexan wishbones hold up? I was thinking of making some out of delrin but if lexan works well I'll go for that.
How did you cut your parts and get such a good finish?

The Lexan parts held up well for me! I believe that most parts can be made from this stuff! The plastic is soft and easy to cut and drill unlike CF.
when I built this prototype chassis I didn't have the tools that would of made life easier! I had only one of these three tools, but the tools that are a MUST are these. Table saw with panel blade, Scroll saw, and drill press! Also cut slow backing off every so often to let the blade and plastic to cool. this keeps the plastic from melting and causing the blade to weld to the plastic! Delrin will work too but lexan would look cooler! JMO Just try it!

Maxxcrazy:
Are you going to do the front?

No, the rear suspension design is totally different than stock and doesn't allow for steering. The design lays down the knuckle instead of having it stand up.
