IMO..For a 7,4 and 3 year old, I'd start out with kits from tamyia, their beginer freindly, most of them are easy to build and learn on, and alot of them are easy to get replacement parts for and your gonna need replacement parts with three young boys at the wheel. As for you, get a Savage :D

Check these out:

^^^^Great beginner off road electric buggy^^^

^^^Great beginner buggy and it can handle a hotter motor when the boys are ready.

an if your into on-road, here's a good starter kit
These are just a few of the many MANY kits available, not only from Tamyia, but alot of other companys have great products to start out with. I just think Tamyia is a good company to start with because they have so many beginner freindly kits.

either tamiya or traxxas as starter cars. the bandit, rustler and stampede are all good beginner vehicles and can take a beating. you may want to look at duratrax as well as i hear the evader series is decent also,

For lil kids, I'd recommend lil cars. The 18th scale cars are super cheap, and very very durable. I think I've only broken 1 part on my hopped up M18 when being really stupid. Stock, they're pretty much indestructible which will really help with kids.

I say get a couple of AE 18Ts. My 4 and 7 year old sons have them and they take all the abuse.

I don't have the 18t, but I have seen videos of them taking quite a beating.. I 3rd the Rc18t.. or the RC18MT...
(I want the MT one myself.. I am a MGT owner..)

http://www.redrockethobbies.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=HBZ3000Those are probably a really great choice... RC Driver ran an article on 'em in their March issue http://www.rcdriver.com/toc_03-05.shtml ... one of the writers bought 3 for his kids, and I think I remember the review being very favorable.

but then if i get a really cool one, the boys are gonna want to drive mine and the mini maulers will go by the wayside
