Hey guys and gals. It looks like right many of yall got your stough right so hopefully you can answer this question for me. I have an unpainted '72 C-10 body I can't wait to mess up. I will be using a Model Maker DA450 double action brush. Someone painted the stock body on my RC10GT purple and I've never liked it much. So this weekend I was looking around on the paint shelf and found a quart of this sweet looking blue we had left over from one of our old trucks. I really liked the color and wanted to see how it would look against flames (orange for the test). I basicaly laid down a coat chevy orange high temp engine enamel in the center of the body, followed that up with a light dusting of faspearl gold, masked off two racing striped down the middle and hit it with the laquor. It's on the outside of the body so it was a quick job, but showed me what I wanted to see. I like the color combination. My question is can I try to layout and spray some flames with faskolor paints, give it a couple of white backing coats, then a layer of faskoat, and lay on the automotive laquor last for my primary color without bleeding or anything like that? I'm no artist so the flames will probably not be greatest, but atleast the colors will be sweet if it works.
Thanks in advance,
Mike
