Hi, im new here and looking for some help on my car. i have a TL01 that i really havent done a lot to, just an LRP ESC, Speed Gems 19T double motor, teflon bearings, and tire inserts. im not super into racing, or i would have gotten a more modable/performance geared chassis, but i do want to take it to the track and run it for some fun laps. so, im thinking of getting some suspension parts so it handles well. but, im stuck....should i just go with the longspan suspension kit, or get adjustable upper arms, turnbuckles, and sway bars. i know the LA kit has most of that stuff in it, but how well does it perform? if it has the adjustable rods, i might just get that and then a set of shocks and carbon shafts and be done. i think that should make a fun casual car to take to the track and run with out going all out and getting a really nice kit since i wont be using it too often. thanks for you imput.

The long arm kit does have adjustable rods, as well as the sway bars and the longer arms for better geometry.

Oil shocks would be a good choice if you don't have them already, Tamiya's plastic shocks should be fine.

The carbon main shaft if the better of the two options. It's saves more weight, and it also saves rotating weight, which is much more important to remove than stationary weight.

see, i wasnt sure if the Long arm kit came with that stuff, but now that i know it does, i might just go ahead and snag one, and later the shocks. as far as the carbo shafts, i know the drive shaft is an important one to get for weight savings, but what about the one inside the diff housings? how much of a difference would those make? sorry for all the questions, im more of a big car person than R/C cars, although weight savings for speed is important for both :).

I forget the numbers, they were in RCCA some years back before all they wrote about was big nitro vehicles, and it was a small weight savings, but not a big amount. If you have the money, go for it.

Take some pictures of the kit when you get it built.
