The directory shows several tracks in socal,
one that does not show in the track directory is K&M in grand terrace thats about 45 min from you.
There is also a new track being built in montclair, its being done by pegasus hobbies.

I don't think there is any track in San Diego. Can you believe this in the 6th largest city in the US no tracks!!

MNM was a killer track! it was a lil too far from though. I have been to Extreme rpm (KnM) and its pretty kool there...there are resturaunts like across the street and stuff so it is kool...the hot tires there are step pins. The pegasus track still looked rough when i saw it, but i think it will be great eventually.....the store is KILLER, they always have things other places dont (they moved into a bigger building w/ a track), and that track isnt going anywhere...that store is new and i dont expect them to move anytime soon.

I'm surprised no ones mentioned Hot Rod Hobbies tracks in Saugus yet. Off Road and On road.

Oh wait it was. Its not at Six Flags but kinda close.

I frequent the Lake Perris RC park. They have a a large dirt track and an aspalt onroad track. Great bunch of people there. Offroad races are held on Sat.,onroad on Sun. Practices Tues-Sun.

kritter626: The Ranch was in a pretty bad area and it kept getting worse. After they had the Worlds they kind of lost intrest and decided to sell. Rumor has it that someone wanted to buy it and keep it open as a R/C hobbie shop and track but they sold to someone outside R/C. :(

Yes it was a very bad area. I recall when I started racing there at age 8, seeing ******* in the alley getting into vans and condoms scattered all over in the alley and up against the fence when the track was on the farthest north part of the property. Kinda funny now but then it was no big deal. THe place started to go down hill when they removed the asphalt and killed the northern dirt track and replaced the asphalt with the dirt track. I spoke with Andy Bartucca (Sp?) the other day and he used to own AJB racing which I thought was an awesome track and he had told me that their( The Ranch) lease was up. The Ranch location is now some sort of textiles place or something because I drive by it often and always look into the back to see if maybe they saved the dirt track and drivers stand. I think that was the best local place to race.
Pegasus has crap dirt and is small. You would think with such a big facility they would build a nice big track, but oh well cant ahve everything. I figure if it takes me more then 20 minutes to get there I am not too into it and seeing that I used to have 3 dirt tracks, 2 road tracks and a boat race facility and now I have 1 track within that range it kinda bums me out.

I dont race, but did notice the Pegasus track seemed pretty small... and alot of the guys at pegasus are into 1/8 scale buggies.

The Pegasus track is way to small for 1/8 scale, barely big enough to get a 1/10 scale up to speed. They made a major mistake by making it so small. Alot of guys are opting to race at other tracks instead.

I agree... I went over to get some parts for my buggy and they mentioned some guys were running on the track with new Hyper 7's. Having never seen the track since the new store was built I took a look. Very small..a waste of time for 1/8th.

Nice store though...lots of Ofna parts too :)

Pegasus's first track i thought was kinda dangferous for 1/8 but it has been redone and i thing it is great now!
