View Full Version : Graphite or Composite?
I just bought a RC10 T3 on ebay that is supposed to have a graphite chassis. How can I tell for sure that I did not get an over-priced composite chassis?

Well, the best way is to look at it with a regular composite one right alongside. Generally, the graphite-filled parts have a slightly lighter color to them than the cheaper stuff, but its not a big difference.... http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif
I just figured it out. The composite chassis has mounting holes for a mechanical speed controller. The graphite one does not… Unfortunately, I got ripped. I paid for graphite and got composite. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/frown.gif
Id want my money back if i were you

Graphite is stiffer and lighter, it also breaks eaisily. Composite plastic is more flexable and breaks less. For competition some people prefer graphite because it is stiffer and offers slighttly better handling.
