how much soldering can a esc handle?

i do my soldering jobs on my novak cyclone relatively quick, but out of curiosity, how much soldering can an esc handle?

Novak has some good instructions here:

But they don't mention actual time. Generally, you can apply heat for 10 seconds to a stone cold part. After that, though, you time is greatly decreased because the part is heated. you can't just pull away, wait a few secs, then apply for another 10 secs.

In general, I apply solder to the parts and then after I see that the solder has flowed well, I hold the iron on for two mississippis. Then I pull it away. That always results in a very strong joint and avoids a cold joint caused by removing the iron too quickly.
