Does anyone know how to make them?

I do.
Use light chain from the store and just make them to look like full size chains.
It's hard to explain, but just make the chains to fit whatever size tire you need.
There is no special way, and no way to really explain.
Just lay out the chains like a train track, with two side chains like the railroad tracks and then runs the "tread" or cross chains in between them like the ties on the railroad track and whne you are done test fit them and lengthen or shorten as necessary.

I'm making chains for my JPS Clod and it takes about seven feet of chain per tire.
It cost about 10 bucks in parts and I did all the work.

also, you could take some long, short, thick, thin or whaterver screws and hot glue them in the tire every 5 cm or something, 3 per row in the shape of the tire would be good for traction. if you don't want to use hot glue, use bolts or something to make sure they won't move

From experience the screw thing ruions tires permanently and never works as good as a good set of chains.

ive never actually trieed it myself, i saw it in a pict. on this site on the nitro fourm(i think its something like "ahh...the smell of nitro in the morning" or something like that
