I've seen on some eletric cars brake calipers n disks. Now i take it these are just for looks. but my q is where these made by the car owners themselves or are they available to buy?

Hey Wraithchild,
I think some of the folks here build their own stuff. I for one had always built mine. Here's an old and barrered left front from my TL-01:

I built it many years ago and it was installed stationary onto the TL-01 hub carrier. Because I failed to check for clearances before building, the wheel inside ribs were rubbing on the caliper puck housings. Some thing to consider when you make your own. I've seen several builders also do rotating discs with stationary calipers (tough to do). RCADDIKT's Firebird has some really excellent brakes as well. I'd be interested to hear the other builder's take on this subject. Maybe we can have a community focus group on brakes?
