Anybody ever try that Krylon Fusion paint for plastic? It's supposed to bond to the plastic on a moleculer level. I was thinking it may be good for plastic a arms and shock towers. I think i'll give some a try on some spare stock parts i have laying around.

gordondude,
I've seen 1/24th scale modelers use this stuff on their models. It looks good on styrene, but I don't have any firsthand experience using it. I would recommend doing a full chemical prep on your nylon parts first as the parts are probably still sporting a thin film of mold release on them. I'd like to see your results if you don't mind.

I tried it on a very small part, mirrors. It went on smoothly but it seemed to chip away a little, I don't really want to try to chip more off though....

I am going to use it on some other stuff pretty soon. I'll let you know

I've seen a few trucks that had parts on them painted with Krylon Fusion. It holds better than other paints, but still flakes off eventually. I know a few guys who have used it on their wheels with decent success and it doesn't come off any faster than stock chrome paint (chrome wheels) will.
