I bought this boat from a member of the boards, He goes by Doubledog here. A really nice guy, great to do business with. Anyway when i got the boat hull it was the stock yellow gel coat, it was pretty enough i guess. But After several runs with the yellow color, i kept hearing people refer to it as the banana boat. I blew it off at first but the more i looked that the thing the more it started actually looking like a banana. I decided to let my buddy at the paint shop dress it up a little bit. I think it looks much better what do you all think.

there is so much more detail than these pics show. ill try and get some better pics, the stripe on the deck is actually a black and blue marbleized stripe with a dark transparent red over it, there is a fantom stipe on the side of the hull as well.

very nice, looks like brandywine kandy over a gold base. I really like seeing kustom paint work on boats instead of the plain factory gelcoat. As a kustom painter myself I can guarantee the pictures dont do it justice, again sharp boat

Mind blowing dude. To be honest, I liked the yellow as it stood out, but the red is KILLER !

Looks great.
I may suggest a larger boat stand for safety sake.
and even more important than safety...saving a good prop :)

thanks for the kind words guys. The boat stand im using there is actually one of my rc car stands, my cousins boat is presently sitting on my good stand. The stand i normally use stretches passed the front of the boat and over hangs the transom just a little, the boat rests on thick foam padded rails. Doubledog, i know where your comming from on the comment about the yellow standing out. I wish the guy had done something more to brighten up the boat to make it easier to see when the sun starts to set. However the paint job was free so im not complaining at all. I left the inside of the boat yellow for two reasons, one it serves as a marker so i dont lose track of the boat, and two if kind of reminds me of the interior color of an old hot rod. When they paint the outside of the car red the inside is usually a lighter color, white, grey, or tan.

i hate how the camera makes the larger metal flakes look like white overspray or water spots. Ill try and get some better shots of it this weekend if the rain holds off long enough.
