What sort of amp rate/delta peak value should I use to charge 8 cell GP3300 packs? I've left it charging on 5.5 amps for ages now (over an hour) and the packs not warm, so I think either I need to charge at a higher rate for more than 6 cells or my power supply isn't providing enough current at a higher voltage. The packs a matched 1.18v pack, when I charge just 6 cells they charge nicely and take in around 4000mah so the condition of the cells isn't a question. Just I've never charged an 8 cell pack before :(

Thanks.

Which Charger? Which Power Supply?
What's you input voltage from the Power Supply?

Charger = novak millenium
Power supply = computer PSU, provides upto 26a at 12V. Think this is the problem not putting out enough amps at a higher voltage, and the battery wants to peak later than 12v.

I bet that power supply is not putting out high enought voltage to charge 8 cells. Try using a car battery to power the charger to charge 8 cells. A car battery puts out 13.8v.
