The RCCA verse Traxxas Challenge

What is the latest news on the Brent and Gregs race? Or did I miss it already? Any information would be nice. Traxxas, Brent, said he was going to Buff up an E-Maxx and RCCA, Greg, said he was going feed steroids to a T-Maxx so whats the scoop? How far along are the trucks? What issue is the coverage going to be in?

It stinks, is how it is. Figuratively and literally. My house still stinks in the room where I keep my r/c stuff.

Today, I took the ESC to Hobby People and asked them what they thought. The next comments from everyone was "is THAT what stinks?" Yeah.........

I went to another LHS and the same comments started flowing, LOL.

I have found out some interesting info in my search for answers and will make a seperate post for the benefit of all.

I was hoping that I judged your sense of humor correctly.

Electrical fires usually do smell very bad. I'm sure it has something to do with the rubber insulation on the wires and the plastic case.

What is the name of your new post? Which Forum. I have been eyeballing the E-Maxx since I bought my T-Maxx. I have been holding out for Traxxas to add a brake to the ESC. I just don't understand why they didn't put one in the first time.

Three speed for the T-Maxx? My goodness that is going to make the T-Maxx reach speeds no Monster Truck should be able to do. Especially if they leave the 1st and 2nd gears the same and just add a tall 3rd. Or, they could make the T-Maxx have some horrific low end pulling power. Just would have to make sure not to blow the head off the engine.

Anyway, I am waiting eagerly for the T-maxx and the E-Maxx to clash.

Yeah, I duhhhed and forgot to look in the "electric forum." I was hunting in the Monster Truck and General forums for the post. I caught myself just before I went to the "nitro" forum. I am so not used to looking for a Maxx truck in the Electric section.

How fast do you think the winning speed will be?

My guess is the T-Maxx at just over 65 mph. I think the E-Maxx will top out at about 62 mph.

I guess we will see sometime around July.

I think those huge tires will keep the speeds slower than desired. If you can call a 10lb monster truck running over twice the speed of a stock version slow.
