tamiya hornet 2004

hello everyone,is the reissue of the tamiya hornet exactly the same as the one in 1984 or did they make it like the grasshopper 2/superhornet? i know it has a esc now but is it still the same???

also does anybody know where they have them in stock besides ebay?my last choice will have to be to import it in from japan.tower hobbies has none n they keep back ordering it?

i want 2 actually cuz if it is the same as the 1984 model, i have all the pieces to make a mini monster truck out of it,lol n that would be different!

They are identical even down to the bubble in the body that makes room for the swing of the throttle servo which is no longer used...due to the ESC. :) Check Tower, they may be on order but they'll fill it as soon as it's in stock.

The "hole" and mounts for the ESC are gone though, that's about it.
