Hi, I'm a total newbie to R/C cars. Besides owning and demolishing a Tamiya Grasshopper 15 years ago, I'm pretty much clueless.
So, here are my questions...
I've just bought a used Tamiya TG10 (nitro) and it's in the mail coming to me right now. I know Tamiya makes a Rally version of the TG10( http://www.tamiya.com/english/products/44024imp/impreza.htm ), so I'm wondering how hard it would be to convert my normal street version to the Rally version. Or would it be better for me just to sell the TG10 and buy an HPI Super Nitro Rally? Are there any other nitro rally cars available for around $250 or less? (my obsession with rally cars is 'cause I want the option to run it on not-so-smooth surfaces)
How do breaks work? I haven't even looked inside a nitro car up close, but I know they come with breaks... but how do the breaks break? I know there's no break lever on my radio... is reverse for breaking? Probably a dumb question, but I'm not asserting my intelligence here.
What is the best/fastest .12 and .15 engine? The answer will probably be "depends on what you want to use it for." Let's just say I want my car to go fast and have fast acceleration. I probably won't race it in an official race.
Thanks for any help.
