Hi all...
I have recently got back into electric off road.Do you have to discharge the nimh batteries? The charger I have is a MRC superbrain 959 and it seems like the batteries peak early. The voltage (shown on the charger) is usually around 8.50 to 8.60 when the charger shuts off.Shouldn't it be above 9 volts?I have been running gas cars for several years and comming back to electric I have found that everything has changed from the old 15 min quick charger days.the packs I have are 2 3000's and 2 3300's I am not sure what rate to charge at but the charger seems to always charge them at 3.0 volts and 3.0 amps.Is that the settings that I should be using? Can I solder a 8 to 10 bulb discharger together like you could with the nicd packs?
Any help or advice would be great thanks....
