Question on 1/8 scale cars like XR8, Serpent

I presume these "pro level" rc cars are all nitro?

I prefer electric simply because it's easier to get up and go, as it were. I have a nitro buggy and t's not as spontaneous as an electric car.


In any case, I like the idea of the Lola-style body in 1/8, but was kinda hoping for electric.

Anyone help me out here?

well, you could always buy a rolling chassis and put a brushless setup in it. maybe 10 cells or more.

i would say it is impossible to change 1/8 on-roads -> electric, theres not enaugh space, everything is so cramped it would be hard fitting 6 cell pack and regular 540 motor

What? 1/10 touring cars fit all that onto a smaller chassis so going electric on a 1/8 on-road should be easy. Putting it together might be harder than you would expect but it should be do-able. There should be enough room on the chassis to mount 12 cells easily and still have room for other stuff.
