View Full Version : XXX Main Picture Glue

Has anyone used it? Is it possible to print out logos on my inkjet printer and use the glue or will the ink run? How do you use it? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've printed out pictures and used the glue and it worked great(on the second try). I used picture paper and didn't allow enough time for the ink to dry before using the glue...but all in all I would say the truck turned out pretty good...

Can you post up pics of the final result? And was it hard to use?

it's really easy to use..the hardest part I would say is cutting out whatever picture/logo you want to use,which really isn't that hard.All you need is a little paintbrush to apply it with(I borrowed one from my daughter's watercolor kit).I don't have the body any longer but let me search my picture files to see if I might have snapped a shot of it...

You can't really see it but it's The Budweiser "A". I couldn't find that sticker anywhere and Budweiser wouldn't send me one so I just printed it out and used the xxx main picture glue on it...

Does it dry clear? Or is it somewhat milky? I'd really like to use this for logos and trim for my next body. Thanks.

If you find the glue smears the ink, spray the pic with varithane and let that dry before putting on the glue. I usually do that as a precaution against smears. Sometimes it's needed , sometimes not. It stops the smearing, though.

Thanks for the help. After seeing it done, I want to get a Mini Cooper body for my Evader and use the picture glue for the Mini logo. Down the side of the car with flames over it. Will this work well?

do you have to use photo paper, or can you use regular paper, because i will be using a color laserjet printer NOT inkjet?

also, where do you get varithane spray?

The biggest thing I noticed, is that any metallic paint will really show the excess glue on the body, and also, if you are going to use a dark color behind the image, it's not a bad idea to brush paint some White paint behind the picture to seal it.
