Thanks guys. The shocks are Mugen big bores and they are amazing shocks. I got the HPI low cg graphite tvp's and they seem really good and strong but I haven't seen any others so I can't really compare them to anything. Those pics were taken while I was building up the truck so it was still brand new. It's much dirtier now :)
Also, just curious what you guys use to clean your trucks. I have tried cleaning it with motor spray but it doesn't work too well. I have also tried WD40 and although it cleaned the truck well it left a terrible greasy residue which took ages to come off. Any ideas?

Simple Green, toothbrush, water, then compressed air. i've used WD40 before and it's not too bad if you use compressed air to blow off the majority of the residue. takes a ton of air though.

I just got a max 3.3........fresh out of the box,$460 total,not a bad price i think.....its my 3rd traxxas (1 4-tec and 2 max trucks)..Love the traxxas trucks.
I just bought an E-Maxx and it's awesome. Very underated truck I think and easy to make even quicker. I got a whole bunch of upgrades ready to fit so I will post pics when it's complete. Let's just say it will be as cool as my Savage when it's done. Plenty of graphite and aluminium and only the best electronics :)

I was in my LHS buying some parts , and I was looking at paint masks and I noticed this Spaz Stix mask with all these pot leaves all over it and I already had the green paint and body so I said fvck it and bought it .
Didnt want to do the same ole same ole paint scheme (tear , flame , fade ect.) . and I dont have an airbrush so I am stuck with canned paint and paint masks .
Besides I like to mix my hobbies :p :D

Hey don't bash him for putting the stinky green on his ride. If that's what he wants it's his truck. If you don't like it just ignore it. Personally I like it alot very original, Smashem I might steal your idea but I wanna put it on my R/C boat... Hmmm... Miss Budweiser meet Miss Mary Jane!!!!

10-27-2006, 10:55 AM
Yeah lighten up HYPA. People put the "Bud" logo all over their cars. Nobody complains about that.
Some of my best friends have suffered from marijuana use and they are now in mental institutions because of its effects so if I want to voice my opinion I am entitled to. I don't think drugs are cool and I think it's pretty lame to love a drug so much that you decide to decorate an rc car with it. Nothing worse that being proud of your drug addiction. Sorry but no respect from me.

COME ON ! Mental institutions ?
You are right though , you can voice your opinion , nothing wrong with that .
I don't think drugs are cool and I think it's pretty lame to love a drug so much that you decide to decorate an rc car with it. Nothing worse that being proud of your drug addiction. Sorry but no respect from me.
But you probably have no problem with someone a Budweiser logo , or some other company logo on their car ?
Proud of my drug addiction ? Where do you get that from ? I just wanted something different from the run-of-the mill paint job I always see .
As for your respect ? I dont even know you , your "respect" means this much too me __ .
Yes, mental institutions mate. Long term abuse leads to nothing but depression and addiction. One of my mates was a hair away from becoming a pro surfer. He is now a paranoid skitzophrenic who thinks his parents are trying to murder him and if he ever comes good I doubt he will be able to surf. He is just one of my friends who has suffered from marijuana. Thats fine if your not addicted but why advertise it? All you are doing is showing young kids that mull is cool and it definitely is not. A company logo is a lot different to an illegal drug, so yes, i'm ok with logo's. Anyway I don't really want to go into this so you can have your fun and I will have mine, we just don't agree. Nice ride by the way.
BashemSmashem
10-27-2006, 12:05 PM
Thanks , I didnt want this to become a debate on drug use either .
But I will say that I am 38 now and have been smoking for about 22 years , I graduated H.S. have 3 kids and have held the same job for over 12 years now .
I do not drink at all or do any other drugs .
I dont want to be the party pooper, BUT, You can't compare advertising a legal substance to an illegal substance.
I also dont think this site is for or about advertising illegal substances.
Thats my 2 cents.

Thanks for the positive responses guys .

kjr2,
Your trucks look great. Do they sell full rollers of the Clod III and Gmade Spyder? If so where?
Thanks for the info
Thanks!
The Gmade Spider is sold as a roller (kit form) from www.junfac.com (see the review on my web site for tons of pics of what you get in the kit--http://home.comcast.net/~radaich/main.html).
The Clodzilla III kit is just the chassis and links, you need to have a Clod Buster kit (or Clod Buster axles) to use to complete.
Here is what you get from ESP in the ClodZilla 3 kit--chassis (unassembled), 8 suspension links, all needed screws, steering links (not pictured), and 2 stickers.
http://i4.tinypic.com/10zzl15.jpg

I very much doubt that car puts out 650hp. A mate of mine has one of the fastest WRX's in Australia and even that's only putting out just over 500 at the wheels. It's stroked and has a massive external gate turbo on it. He has pretty much done everything he can do to the car and it runs consistant tens down the quarter.

Hey, i do that to, then blow off all the water really quick with a leaf blower. But if dont think the water damages the servo, just the receiver, i dipped a spare servo in water for 1 week, and i plugged it in while soaking, and it ran with no glitching. guess just seal ur receiver boxes, go go driving in a swimming pool, and i wouldn't worry about water getting in the engine right? not a big deal.

just seal the reciever, and pull the airilter and plug it would be a good idea. But getting water in the engine, for a short time wont hurt, it, just after washing it start it up to clear out the water, and then put it away.

Nope, it's a 2004 E-maxx, I just added the T-maxx 3.3 shafts in August....Those things are huge compared to the stockers....

start a new thread man
dead batteries or you may need to adjust the servo so it snaps open the carb right away ie. get rid of slop
Can you use any type of tire you want for oval racing or is there as specific tread>?
because i keep seeing people with the PL type tread on like yours...
At the tracks we run at in in the series I race in they only use these Prolines and we also can use one kind of Duratax tire for the truck class.

If you are looking at the motor with the head furthest away from you and the carb clostest to you, it is on the right side of the carb and usually sticks up.

hey, i see that you have the big block convertion kit for your tnx. i have a question for you, on the the original tnx the engine doesn't use clutch bell as so on my savage or other monster truck. so how did you get the axial engine to work on your truck?
faisalbasha
12-13-2006, 11:45 AM
with the conversion kit you get a
1. custom flywheel
2. special nut to enable tnx clutch bell to work
3. special bearing
4. engine mount
its all there dont worry..... there a catalogue to help you put it all together..
Are you getting a tnx 28 conversion?????

well, i didn't know that they are made to fit different big block engines. my choice was to get the axial 32 engine. so i could race next year. the main reson for my effort on this project is to bring something different to monster truck racing other than my savage or my t-maxx. i thought to go with the MGT, but everyone is starting to look at those trucks for being serious racers with the right amount of work. so i decide to use what i have and go from there.
