Well I had a chance to get the boats out today and much better results. I richened the bigger boat and put a new plug in and it ran but it really rides
flat alot of hull in the water. The rooster tail is great :D . The hammer ran
fine it seems to get faster each time out. What adjustments can I make to
get the bigger boat looser on the water. Also turns right on a dime but left handers need the whole lake. here are some pics.

Have you thought about reducing weight in the bow or moving weight more towards the stern to help keep the bow up? You can also try trim tabs and adjust them to get the bow to rise up. Just a couple of ideas that I used to keep the bow of mine up higher.

I moved the tabs up. and most of the weight is towards the stearn. But if all else fails I will move the motor back a bit. Can I angle the surface drive if so which way? up or down.

You'd want to angle the drive so that the prop is pointing up towards the water surface, thus pushing the stern down and raising the bow.

Day,
I'm assuming surface drive. Put you boat on a nice flat table, no stand , just balance it on the keel.I like the glass coffee table when the wife is not home!
With the boat balanced on the keel, check the drive and your tabs. Best place to start is 0% or parallel with the table. If you're there already, adjust the drive so it has a slight upward angle. make only a small adjustment.run it and go from there. There are a few things that will effect the ride and without knowing the hull it's kinda hit or miss.
Have you checked the hull for a hook? If it has a hook, the tabs will do very little. maybe you could post more pictures for us?? Let's see your hardware setup. I would hold off on adding weight, or moving the motor for now. Keep us posted.

Yes I have the surface drive parallal to the keel. The tabs are up a little bit
I check for a hook in the bottom pretty flat. But in one area a bit of light shown under the straight edge not real bad though. I forgot that I had my throttel end point set for a bit more than 1/2 open. Would more speed bring the hull up out of the water? Here are some set up pics.

Thanks Mark

More speed should definetly get more out of the water! Speed will make it plane off higher.

Went out to the lake today and boy oh boy wind gusting to 21 mph and a steady 10 mph the 31" ran right on top of the water nice and level no tabs
I made some changes from the tips recived here. Ran great except striped my throttle servo  oh well bought a new one on the way home :p Also the hammer with tabs down blew over a few times it was rough.
Thanks for the help.

Mark
