Hey guys (and girls), we all wana know what your worst wipe out, flub, or crash you have ever had. C,mon, don't be shy. My worst crash was when I thought the race was over. So I stoped at the end of the straight, waiting for my dad to pick it up. But of coarse he did't because he knew that the race was't over. So while I was patiently waiting for my dad to pick my rc10GT up off the track, the guy standing next to me braod sides me at full speed. Its amazing that I only got away with my battery pack getting knocked out and my tie rod end getting poped out. Everybody was talking about it for the rest of the day.
my worst was when I came up behind my brother's OFNA Z10 nitro sprint with my Maximum BX on a driveway. he was breaking his car in, so he was only doing 1/4 to 1/2 throttle, and I whipped up behind, full throttle, and my front wheel rolled over his back wheel, and then my back wheel hit his back wheel... the combined speed of those spinning wheels VAULTED my car up, over his, and it rolled over like 6 times and landed right side up...
and through all this, his car did not go flying or anything, and neither car broke anything... except that he forgot to screw the servo arm onto the throttle servo, and it came off, and he was stuck at 1/2 throttle... so what does he do?? heads for two cars (full-sized) and keeps accidentally maneuvering underneath them until he crashes into a tire and stalls... but still, neither car suffered any broken parts, except his body mount post fell off (did not break, it just came loose from the screw holding it on)... now that was FUN!!! http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif
Today was my worst ever. I was driving my GT and the throttle linkage got stuck at full speed. we all know how those runaways can be, doe. And there were these polish people in the way laughing that I couldn't control my car at full speed. I missed them by 4 inches, jumped down a curb, into the street...still at full speed...jumped a 13inch high curb (I measured and don't know how it made it up) Filppd 8 times, cartwheeled 6 times landed. Full speed again jumped a curb into a busy street narrowly missing 3 cars, hopped the curb flipped 4 times cartwheeled 2 times then landed in another street upsidedown without the body on. I hate fast car that are runaways.

My worst one would be my rocket plane which i let my dad fly for the first time and had just gotten it built. He took off flew up and then went straight into the ground. Unrecoverable damage. $80 down the drain. Hey i was like 12 so that was a big loss to me. Also eairler today my friend had his T3 up to full speed and clipped a fullsize cars tire. No damage lucky sob. He was doing about 30mph.

ive never broken anything on my rustler with almost 2 years of extreme abuse. just about 3 weeks ago, i jumped, and it was about a 45 degree angle, and about 1 foot high, and i jumped it lke 10 times, and like the 7 time, i snapped off my shocks cap. and since my shocks leaked like a muther, i only got half the oil on my chassis since thats all that was in it. that broken shock cap cancels itself out cuz 2 weeeks before that, i ordered big bore aluminum shocks.
other than that, thats all i broke.
i have had many crashes though. one was, well actually all of em were jumping over my moms little flower things that are like big bushy things about 10 inches or a foot high, and doin like 10 cartwheels after i jump them and stuff. i did one where i flipped 3 times, and then i rode it out in a wheelie. that really kick *** . that was sweet.
i also ran into our mail box post at about 25 mph. i cracked my stock body pretty bad with that. but i got a new one anyway.

about a month or two ago i built a 2 foot ramp, it was curved(not like this /]) and i got bored of just jumping my fac. team gt over it at almost full speed, so i decided to stand in front of the ramp, jump the GT at full speed, and catch it in the air(that was my big mistake)so i jumped it and the darn thing almost broke my arm! it rolled over about 7 times and then slid about 15 feet on the top of the body and made some very deep scratches http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/mad.gif.....only 1 thing broken luck-a-ly, a spindle on one of the front wheels

well this might be dating myself but i was racing my Losi JRX-Pro on a dirt oval they way this track was made they dug down into the ground then lined the outside with sinderblocks for walls. anyway all was going well until turn 3 i got hit from behind by 3 other cars when i slowed for the turn and they pushed me full bore into those sinder block walls when i picked up my car the only thing holding the front end on was 1 steering tierod broke my chassis SNAP and the new set of BB bellcranks i had just put on for this race.

******* JP! :-) bad day, huh?
my worst was probably with my losi xx. so there is a long strech of pavement, and a little lip at the end of it with a hill following. smart one me decided to gear it as high as i could (like 60t spur and 40t pinion, 64pitch :rolleyes http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif and hauled *** towards the lip. i hit it, and my nice bouncy rear shocks launched it into a front flip, and it landed on the front right wheel and did like 26 some odd kartwheels. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/eek.gif yeah it was cool to whatch, but i did break my front sus. arm.
its all good. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Okay, here goes:
1) My brother used to have an Kyosho Outrage. Once, he let his best friend drive it and he (the friend) drove it right into a storm drain. My brother called me from his friend's house and I had to go over and retrieve it. Let's just say that storm drains do not smell very nice. The car suffered no damage.
2) My cousin had a brand new Subaru Brat. If you don't remember it had a hard plastic body. Anyways, he drove into a storm drain too, but this time the storm guard (a bar that goes across the drain opening on the curb) lopped off the whole cab. Oops.
3) I used to live at a house that was on a corner. My cousin and I were driving our Tamiya Frogs. Anyways, I was driving down one street and he was driving down the other. I turned left onto the street he was on and he turned right onto the street I was one. We crashed so hard that neighbors came outside thinking there had been a REAL car crash. I lost a tire which we had to chase down the street before it went into a...you guessed it, a storm drain!
These are the best crashes I could think of. It's funny how they all have the "storm drain" theme.

well, just today, i finally got my fx10 from my grandpas house, and dumped a 1500 into it. i dumped the rest of my other 1500 at my grandpas house.
so anyway, i was trukin along, on teh street, goin about 40 some odd mph, and i went off the road and into the ditches about 4 times. they were grass, no water or nuttin. but i came out of one, and was goin towards my driveway, and there is a little crack that dips down, then comes back up, and i hit it and went squirly and got sideways and did about 10 flips, and some kartwheels, i tore out a outdrive thing, (its just shoved into the gear box, not attatched at all. and popped out my doggybone. i found the dogbone after a little searching and went to get my tools to out it back in. nothing broken. it fixed just fine. i also only had one of 2 screws in my wing, so on the side with no screws, the wing went under the wing mount, and got jammed. i found my other screw that was in my toolbox that i couldnt find before. so it should break off when i get my other batt in for a run....
now i am charging my trinity 2400. this gives me about 20 mins of run time with my rustler, so it should give me more with my little fx10. well, i guess i should go check my batt.........

my worst wipeout would have to be like three years ago back in the good ol stampede days when I was a young stupid driver and decided to go rally like no ones business in this lot about 3 block away from my house. It was pretty windy that day, I was alomost going to call it quits when I see this drop off that looked like it could cause some enjoyment, the thing was about 15 feet down into relatively soft sand, so i built a little lip and started back, full speed screaming down the dirt, I hit it and sent my car sailing, the wind decided to catch up again, the wind caught it under the body and sent my truck sideways, ohhhhhhhhh crap was all I could think of, my car hit the ground sideways on my wheels cartwheeling down twenty feet to the bottom of the hill, shiney side up http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif my car putted around happily, which was rahter suprising to me. there were many encounters not as bad as that with curbs.

Ummm, if you hit a turn marshal in the ankle at about 45 and bend your chassis, does that count?

I have friend that came over one time to run his Duratrax ST on the road by my place.
Well he was runnin up and down the road and about the third time his steering glitched and it sent him off the road into a concrete curb.Let's just say the whole right side was dragging on the road, broken susp. arm and caster block then he decides to bring it in(after he goes back down the road) and turns to look at me and says "I think I broke something" meanwhile his truck goes off the road again and smashes into my mom's new car. On that hit he broke the other susp. arm and the camber link on the left side
good thing Durtrax has that warranty on parts

I have to Admit my worst wipeout was a few months ago when i baought a brand new Honda S 2000 body and i painted it all outlaw black and had headlights on it.I installed it on my Supra and i was rolling down the field at dusk.It ran smack right into a puddle of water and the whole thing was covered in water and ruined the cover and messed my motor up.

Oh boy...this brings back BAD memories! When i was 14 or so(now 26)my dad bought me a rc500(AE 1/8 nitro)and we ran it for the first time in our cramped driveway!I messed with it for a minute or two just driving circles to get used to it and then it happened...i punched the throttle, lost traction, headed straight for the concrete driveway statues at the end of the driveway!!Well, you guessed it,i NAILED the one on the left!Parts went everywhere!!I just stood there in a daze...my dad went over to where the car was to see what condition it was in.It was totaled!!I DESTROYED almost the entire car!Pieces were laying all over the grass...broke up in about 3-4 pieces,it was not a pretty site!Man was my dad ****** ...needless to say he never bought me another rc car again...from that day on if i wanted it,i had to buy it!! ;)

I was on the divers stand one day, piloting my B3 around the track, and some guy was drining a stampeed or a monstor truck, or sumthin on a triple, and he crashed pretty good, so I stoped to laugh at him. (I stoped, not MY car...) Anywhey, next ting EVERYONE heard was thunk, then I heard "Awwwwwwww" from EVERYone else.... Then I had to keep my head down and my tail between my legs as I walked to my broken A-arm on my B3. :)
Then another day I was jumping speed bumps at a lake my grandparents live on, ( Speed bummps on the little roads that go back to cotages.) And It was gettin dark, so when I hit the speed bump and fliped over my shock tower broke, but I couldnt see that it broke, (I did think the car looked funnt though.....) Regardless I drove the car until the battery was dead and then found out about the shock tower the next day when i looked at it.

Oh boy crashes, i have had a lot of those, but this would be my worst:
i used to have this awesome 1/8 scale buggy and i was driving it around in a huge parking lot, which was just recentye been paved, well i drove it down a straightaway and on a jump made of dirt, i took it off at a weird angle and it did maybe threee or four mid-air flips and cart wheels, and landed amazingly on all four, i thought there was no damage, and drove on (big mistake) I drove it at a 1/2 throttle and it sounded fine, until i lost control of it, next thing i know it accelerated and hit a curb at 3/4 throttle, and started screaming,(a friend though the head would blow off so he ran in the opposite direction) I ran towards the car and tried to shut down the engine by covering the stinger, nothing happened, it kept going and kept screaming until i heard a loud bang! After taking the buggy home i inspected the damage which was:
a broken con rod which took chunks out of the piston and sleeve and left the sleeve indented into the crankcase
a fuel tank wih a giant hole in it
a header which popped off (explaining why i couldn't shut it down)
a broken aa arm
stripped spur gear
and the glow plug was never found, and ripped the **** out of the engines' thread
Well that's my biggest accident and it almost cost me as much as the buggy to replace all of those parts, excepecially the engine, **** ofna p-4! :(

Probaly the time my car got way loose, and i lost it,smacked the wall doing a 360,it stopped in the middle of the track, rear left ballcup popped off,(the turn marhshall was tyed up with two other trucks,i just sat there)and all of the sudden another truck comes b*tching WOT! down the straightaway, and smacked me in the left rear. I did a 180 and got smacked again. I coldnt believe it,but it snapped the rear hinge pin and broke the A arm. I've never been hit so hard!

Well I was driving my Ofna MBX arond my neigbors' track and he had a 3 ft tabletop and I decided to fly the usual 15-16 ft so here I come full throttle and what i don't know is that there is a pile of dog poop at the top and I hit the jump at like 40 mph and hit the pile o poop ant it went EVERYWHERE! The poopey made me do like a 720 and I hit the ground and flipped at least 8 times. I suffered a broen front arm, chipped tuned pipe, bent rear shock shaft, and a crap-covered car.

Once when I was running a qualifier and my radio was glitching so I decided to drive the car off to the of the track. As I was going to go get it I heard a wap and looked around to see my car flying for about 20 feet. It landed on its roof and slid into a pit table of a fellow racer. Luckily nothing fell off :). I inspected my car and nothing was broken. Thank goodness it was a 4-TEC :D :D :D.

About 8-10 years ago with my RC10, I lost control crashed head on into a curb and bent my metal chassis. The place where it was bent was almost touching the ground.

I think I posted this before but....when I got my first rc car, a Kyosho Inferno DX, I was breaking in the engine and had it sitting on the ground. I knew nothing about it other then I needed to break it in. It was idling nicely after 2 tanks and I decided to go slow in the street with it. I set down the car in the drive way and something happened. It just took off flying down the street rickochetting all over the place, off curbs, off tree stumps and roots. It finally hit a root and took off fiving at 5 feet for I don't know how long before it hit my neighbors house taking a divot out of the stucco in his house "ouch"
The car had just scratches on it.
