I went through the rule book for ROAR and didn't see anything that said you couldn't use a Tamiya motor or body. Where did you get this from. Is it somewhere else on the website for ROAR? I haven't been to the NORRCA site yet so maybe you could point to where they say that also.
One thought about the motors though. The Stock motors from tamiya don't really have any markings on them. They tend to be just silver cans without labels.

Well, to be legal for sanctioned racing, a motor, battery or body muct be submitted to the sanctionning body for approval. So if Tamiya hasn't sent anything to them to be approved, then it won't be. Plus, as far as Tamiya's motor are concerned, they really aren't meant for serious competition(outside of TCS races) & they can't hang with a ROAR-legal stock motor(& their hotter motors can easily be topped by conventional modifieds), so it wouldn't be worth messing with..... http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

How would a Green 3 Pro hold up in such racing?

I think just because they don't mention Tamiya doesn't mean that it would or wouldn't be allowed... I'm confused now too.
