I just bought my 1st airbrush and would like to mix some custom colors. To cover a whole body how much pactra paint(thinned) does it take?. I need to buy some bottles and don't want to get them too small as with it being a custom color the chance of matching it will be zero.

To cover most bodies with 2-3 very thin coats of one color, I usually run through about half a bottle (2/3 oz bottle) give or take a little. When selecting your colors, do yourself a favor and pick up an extra bottle of white and silver. You'll use those quite frequently for backing as well as primary colors.
Word of caution when mixing your own colors, pactra's black is a blue pigment base. This means when thinned out, it looks blue. That's important to remember when putting a drop or two of black in any mix.
If you're spraying indoors such as in a basement, do your family a favor and pick up the acrylics instead of the lacquers. It'll be much more comfortable for others not to have to smell the lacquer thinner.
For thinning acrylics, you can use alcohol or windex. Apparently, the blue dye in windex does not affect the paint color.

Hi guys,
I hope you don't mind my asking Piggy, but do you use rubbing or denatured alcohol for thinning acrylics? Thanks and sorry to interrupt. :D
