I love the Maxtec Shockwave and everything but I have 2 Problems. The first is I cant find any hobby dealers up here in Minnesota. The worst problem is that their web site wont work and I think they are going to or already are Out of buisness. If they are you gotta help me find a 10 Double Shockwave because I want to replace my 15 Quint Shockwave. Please Write back.

Have you tried Hobbytown USA in Brooklyn Park or Nation Hobby Company in Fridley, they might carry them or be able to get one for you. It might also be possible to get something like a D4 or Peak amrature for your can.
Its sad that Maxtec is like, dead...They were my favorite company, and did extremely well a year or two ago. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/frown.gif They used to make the best parts, but the last motor they made was the one you mentioned. Shockwave. They are still the most powerful motors, and I bet RC Car Action wouldn't do a dyno test...what with supply and demand these days. Even if it would help Maxtec ::Coughhinthintwinkwinknodnodcough:: Think you cando it Steve? Greg? anyone? Help Maxtec out...

Hlep who out? Maxtec has been out of business for a long time. I'll dyno a motor to see how it compares, but it's not going to change anything - they'll still be out of business...

Oh thanks. I thought They just went because I bought a new motor still in the package last year. But do u know of any place in the country who might have a 10 or 11 turn(any wind) still in the package. Yes I have tried Hobbytown USA and NAtional Hobby Co.
So, Steve...could you Dyno a shockwave? I know they are great motors...I've seen those motors run, and they seem to be super fast compared to GM3s and Reedy Rages.

Steve, we need a dyno comparison between a GM3, MVP and maybe a P2K ASAP. Is one in the works?

I've already finished a dyno test of the MVP and GM3, which will both be in the next issue of RCCA. Altough they're not directly compared against one another (yet), the results are right there.

Good, I'd like to see some good hard numbers from the same dyno under the same conditions, so I can decide whether or not I want an MVP too. Thanks, Steve. I'm looking forward to that issue...

Hey Steve did you ever finish the dyno results on the Shockwave if you did you should post them up here. What motor are you going to dyno anyway. You should try like a 11 or a 9T.
Steve, can you dyno one of 'em stockers too? I think California RC still sells Maxtec stuff. Superior hobbies has there stuff too.
