I can hop up my real car, but I can only push it so much before either the engine blows at which point I can't drive to work, or I slam into the curb taking corner too hard and mess up the suspension and wheel.
You can hop up the R/C car and do whatever you want to it. If you crash it, just replace the part. Not the end of the world.
Basically, you can enjoy what you put into an R/C car more than you can with a real car, well, unless you don't give a crap bout your real car.

I could go for days on this one, but I'll make it short for you all.
The main reason I like R/C is because when I have my GT tuned and set up perfect(which can be a fleeting thing), lettin the "dawgs out", I feel like I'm 14 again. And guys, it's been a LONG time since I was 14.

Well many bad things, but many good things too.
What's good is opening the box of your new RC car and building it. The first run is always the best part.

The suspension on off road cars are really cool, i like that engineers can make something so right, and I like that RC's can reach some AMAZING speeds

The feeling when you pick up the car after its hit every inch of concrete over ten feet and has only popped a ball cup.
AMAZING!!!!

I just think it's a fun pastime. I have literally gone to run my nitro cars with my head on the verge of a migrane and once I start to concentrate on the speed and controlling my car, my headache goes away. Fun and theraputic; who could ask for more?

its like this, is it easy to say good things or bad things? Like you can say tons of bad stuff about things like RC, Movies, people, etc. But its harder to think of the good things when all you do is complain, do you guys get what i'm saying? Later RC X

You are completely in control of it when it's way over there. I think thats what got me hooked when I was in elementary school.

Another thing I forgot to mention is that when you walk into your local track after not being there for a while, looking at everyone's car while you walk by and seeing they are not all the same as with real cars on the highway. They might be the same model but I have never seen two cars that are identicle.

Good, the feel when your first Nitro starts after only three pulls, or you finish a race, notice I said finish not win. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif
Also just getting togather with a group of friends and just having a trash session.

What I like about it is that I get to be creative with painting bodies and doing some modifications. It also gives me a chance to use technical skills I would not normally get use and it makes me think, unlike video games, TV, etc. Another reason is it's a challenge getting my touring car set up the way I want, drive it well, and not hit stuff!
It's also a great excuse to buy new toys (tools)!! http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

The best thing for me was getting up early to meet everybody at the track, help set up the track while BS'ing the whole time. Then racing those same guys hard and when you have a problem they all pitch in to help fix it. The best part is all the friendships that I have made and kept through racing. No other sport promotes it like ours.

I like how I ordered a big piece of fiber glass, and how i'm going to turn it into a chassis for my TA03f.

Good about R/C? Some of my favorites...
The competitiveness of racing & the fun no matter what the result,
Road trips with friends to race an r/c car...no better excuse to spend time w/friends,
Building something with your own hands, and then watching it race around a track at unbelievable speeds,
Dirt ROOSTER TAILS!!
The smell of nitro;
Getting that UPS/Fed Ex delievery with all your new "toys".
Those are just a few of my favorites...

Ahhh...The brown Santa Clause(mail man). Yeah he is great. I am currently waiting for him now to deliver a receiver pack. Another great thing about r/c is hopping-up your cars. I love it when I add a new part and then after the first heat with it waiting for the printer to finish printing the results.

There fast, fun, its a safe hobby and when you break something it doesn't cost much so you can always replace everything for reasonable price.
