I got my friend to buy an R/C. My friend went and bought the HPI Dash.
This is the most expensive car he ever bought. This is a huge move for him.

Anyways I want to give him my old 20T 540 stock motor from my RS4 that I never used. By my estimate it should bring the dash up to 23 to 24 mph. The dash runs around 12mph.

Question has anyone ever take'n out the 380 and put in a 540?
By looking at it. It looks like there is enough space for a 540.

P.S.
My friend is just learning how to drive thease cars. He drove my RS4 that runs around 45mph and he can't drive it very good, he keeps on crashing every 10secs. So 24mph with the Dash should keep him very busy for a while.

Unfortunately, that car is basically impossible to upgrade to a 540: Even if it could fit, the stock ESC is probably not strong enough to handle it. I wouldn't have advised him to get that, but since he has it, have him learn to drive it and save up for a 'real' one he can start driving when he's good.

A lot of people hate the Dash, and Tamiya's similar QD, but I think if you could add up to a 20 turn 540 (Like in their Sprint RTR), and use aftermarket wheels and bodies, and maybe shocks, they'd be fine cars for a learning driver, or for somebody not ready to drop $200+ on a 'real' car.
