Whats with associated using hex screws? My friend just built his T3 and now all the screws on the bottom that connect the rear end to the chassis are stripped what kinda crap is that. Did he do somthing wrong? I know im kinda ranting here, but i never have this problem with "regular" screws. Does losi use hex hardware too? Now im not so sure i want a TC3 because of the hex stuff. Although i will give A props for a great truck runs like hell... REALLLY FAST for an electric anyway.

losi uses hex screws, but ive never stripped one, he may have not put the, hex wrench in all the way, or he may have not put it at an angle to prevent stripping, ive always stripped, regular screws but never hexes, it may be the associated tools they give you they may be weak and have stripped, i suggets getting a good set of wrenches dynamite makes the best set in my opinion, with thise i have tightened a screw soo tight the threds stripped before the screw head did.

Yeah, those hex screws can be frustrating. I agree with "very low budget racer" about getting a good set of hex wrenches. I think MIP and RPM makes wrench sets. I believe they are made of hardened steel, so they are stronger. The hex wrenches that come with the kit are very weak and can strip. There is a good chance the wrench is stripped, and not the screw.
If a wrench set is out of your budget, you could also get a dremel cutting tool and cut the stripped ends off of the kit's hex wrenches. That will give you a fresh edge to the wrench.
And if you want to go to normal head screws, hardware stores like Home Depot sells these 4-40 screw with normal slot or Phillip heads at different lengths, button head, countersunk, and they are cheaper too.

Like Grant said, a quality set of hex drivers are a good way to go. I replaced nearly all of my philips head screws with hex and use RPM drivers.
