Servo's for XXXT [Archive] - Radio Control Zone

Hello. I'm having trouble deciding on wich servo to buy for my losi xxxt, a Airtronics 9357 or 9358. the 9358 has 200 for torque and the 9357 has 125. but its faster. Anyone have opinons? thanks

My opinion is that 125 is MORE than enough, so go with it because it is faster.

You really only need about 70. I've driven My XXX-NT with a Futaba 9201 which has about 80 oz of torque but only .22 sec transit and I went my best time. I wasn't very fun in the tight stuff but I got around just fine. A slower servo can acually make you faster because you don't have to fight with it all the time. I now use a FMA 3601 the is 100 oz. at .08 and have since bettered my times. So you really don't need all the extra speed and power but it's nice to have, well, very nice to have.
