Here is a link to a site that has pictures of the Crystal Park Raceway in Southern California: http://members.xoom.com/_XMCM/5thscale/gallery.htm

The track is really designed for 1/8 cars and larger 1/5 cars, but 1/10 TC's run there without any problems. The cars in the pictures are 1/5 scale.

its a pretty nice track the pictures but i think its alittle small for an enduro i think it should be a track that is specially paved and instead of pvc pipes have it seperated with grass like the real race track Mclarens race on and other cars that get stuck in the grass so if you hit another car you dont swurve into the pipe and possibly break your car on the last lap cause during a 4 hour enduro you dont want to break at the last minute cause joe blow bumped your car and you swurved in the pvc and broke something you know.

used to road race motorcycles, have seen some REALLY cool layouts, but one of my favorites is a track at Grattan, MI... of course scaled to the appropriate size, but here how the course plays out full scale... 3/4 mile straight into a positive camber 110 degree right turn, short chute to another 110 degree right turn, another chute to an off camber downhill entrance 110 degree left turn, just enough space to setup for a 90 right hander flat camber downhill exit, up hill chute cresting over a small peak, downhill into a slippery right 90 degree right hander (braking for this corner almost always sent the rear wheel of my bike waggling in the air), quick 90 left, small uphill chicane to a hard right into a left hand bowl very tight but with lots of positive camber so you can really throttle it up in there, exit of the bowl comes to a sweeping right hander the goes up and then down a hill toward a VERY sharp hairpin, back up hill small left hard right still going up hill then back to the left onto the straight...

fun track, and prolly one of the nicest in the midwest, IMHO...

Here are my new onroad layouts. Hope you like them:

ROADCOURSE LAYOUT:
From the starting line, race down the straightaway to a sweeping turn 1 (left). then a short straight a kink, another short straight, they hit a sweeping turn 2(right). then another short chute into a right angle turn 3 (right) a long straight into a quick right-left combination then a short straight setting up a 90 degree left(turn 4). Another short straight a hard turn 5(right) onto the LOOOONG back straight (about 80-100 feet long)where top speeds are reached. then a nother right angle turn 6(left) then after a middle length straightaway a hard left turn 7 onto the front straight where racers will sprint back to the start/finish line to complete the lap

OVAL LAYOUT:

From the S/F line sprint down the front straight to a 60 degree turn 1. Race down the striaght to a sweeping turn 2. After racing down another straight, there is a sweeping turn 3 which puts you back on the front straight, and across the S/F lin to complete the lap.

Check out... www.midwest-hobby.com (http://www.midwest-hobby.com)
That's where I race. They race off-road and carpet. There's some pictures of the tracks, but they aren't the greatest.

Basically, the track is set-up with some medium to long straights and high speed turns around the outside, with short straights and tight corners in the Infield.

aspiringrcracer710
11-23-2000, 02:37 PM
Here is another roadcourse layout I came up with:

From the S/F line, race down the front straight to a sweeping turn 1 (left) after a combination turn 2 and 3 (left-right) comes another short chute and a right-left combination (turns 4 and 5)is another short chute followed by a 90 degree turn 6 (left), after a long straight, raccers are fed into another 90 degree turn, turn 7 (left). After another straight, get ready, because there are alot of turns coming up. after a short kink, comes turn 8 (carousel right), turn 9,10,and 11 (left, right, left). after a short straight, racers hit a sweeping turn 12 (left), after another short straight, is a 90 degree turn 13 (left), another straight, and turn 14 (left), onto the LOOOONG front straight, and across the S/F line to complete the lap

HOPE YOU LIKE IT!!

Yeah, GIVE IT UP. Honestly, it's not worth your time.

Why don't you just bite the bullet and make your own damned design? Novel idea, isn't it... Come on, it's NOT that hard if you want to make a track anyway.
