13 turn motor

i was thinking about replacing my old 13turn motor with a new one and i found a fireball motor by venom and i was wondering if anyone has bought this motor and what they thought of it. thanks

I have one, it's very smooth. Nice response, good run times. Haven't had it long enough to know of durability though.

If you plan on racing, I'd still go with a hand wound motor, what was your 13 turn anyway?

Getting a low-turn cheap machine wound motor is not the way to go. I bet a good 19 motor would be faster than a 13 turn Fireball. :eek:

I would get a Orion/Peak V2 motor or a Trinity Cobalt. If you can't swing one of those, get a 19 turn motor like the Trinity Chameleon 2 or a better machine wound mod like the Trinity Speedgems line. ;)

Those venom fireballs are budget motors not intended as a racing motor. Price point, you can't beat it. Performance-wise?, you get what you pay for! If you don't intend on being serious about racing, and want to skimp on maintenance, etc, etc. sure.. why not. It's cheap and you probably can't tell the difference cause you aren't "there" yet. The next step up are the speedgems motors; also budget motors but better.

gizmoguy303, you bet right!, A 19T spec motor(typical one thats in good shape unabused, doesn't even have to be "done up") is faster than the venom fireball.

I`ve thought about getting a Venom Motor a few months ago; but I chose a Peak Racing Motor instead.....(Peak Dynasty 19-Turn).
Venom is a good brand; but NOT for Motors.

I use a 13-Turn Reedy Ti Worlds Edition Motor and it`s FAST. It`s a Good Motor.
-It only costs $60.00. . . . .You can get about 11 Runs with the Brushes.

Why not get a team orion revolution and get way more than 11 runs on a set of brushes.
