Car: Kyosho, Pure 10. HPI 911 GT1 body Only suspension upgrade are Aluminum touring shocks.

Usual track / conditions: Street in front of my house. Asphalt, semi-rough, not like a playground, not too dirty and pretty smooth.

Question:
1. There are several piston options that came with the shocks. Any insight as to how to choose the right ones. How about shock oil? What does what? Different setting F/R? Any and all info appreciated.
2. I've found the best traction "on my street" comes from using treaded tires with medium foam inserts. Any comments?
3. Lots of understeer in the corners. Would a ball differential help? Front only or front & rear. Anti sway bars? Different shock set up? (springs / oil) How about those front "one way" units I see is an option for the Pure ten.
3. I've just installed a 2 speed transmission and "holy gear ratio Batman" this thing is fast. Too fast really for the suspension set up. Before the new tranny, even at full speed it tracked pretty straight. Now the car wonders when it's running at "warp speed" in high gear. Even the tiniest steering input at that speed throws the car this way and that. As the rest of the suspension is stock there isn't any adjustiments that can be done. Is this the key, do I need adjustable rods? Stifffer springs? Am I just wasting money on a obsolete chassis, and should I be looking into a V-One-R. I'm a beginner at suspension & handling theory but am willing to learn.
4. I was getting used to using the engine compression to slow down into turns, but the new transmission lets the drive shaft free wheel, so no compression brake. Any info regarding braking and/or brakes? The brake disk is the stock plastic one now, seems to work OK, but tires seem to spend a lot of time locked up trying to slow down.
5. Also one last thing, "at warp speed" the air flow over the 911 GT1 body and wing push it down so that the front air dam on the body and the bottom of the chassis scrapes the ground. Stiffer springs?
Did I mention this thing is fast. Yipes!
Thanks in advance to all who answer.

Well, I'm not too familliar with that vehicle, so I can't give honest setup tips. However, buy stiffer springs and DEFINITELY pop on a pair of swaybars. Also, on the question concerning whether the car is obsolete, I would have to answer yes, but only for racing. It seems that you only use it for bashing around your street, which is fine in that case. If you ever feel the need for racing, or just a better car, pick up a Nitro RS4 or the new TC3 (Nitro). The Super Nitro RS4 Rallys are a blast too!! Personally, I tend to stay away from Kyosho, but the new V-One-R looks very cool.
