I want some shock socks I have checked my LHS, Tower Hobbies, and a few others with no luck. If someone could please tell me where to get them or make them from a balloon or something it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Cya

You might also try cutting the finger off a latex or nitrile glove, if you have acces to them.

Yeah, make sure they're wide enough. I use to be into making animals and stuff out of balloons a few years ago, so I tried using one of them. They were all wayyy too narrow, though.

well, Geoccities won't let my post the link to the page...have to post the site..weird
My site (http://www.geocities.com/jasoninaugusta). Follow the link and click on links. Then you'll see a shock socks logo. Click on it. Contact info is on bottom right.
We ran these on the sand at Thunder on the Beach and loved them. Easy to take care of and work better than baloons. You can also e-mail them at the account metioned above.

Associated sells some. But I don't like them beause if you are not carefull they will acualy trap dirt in them and where out your shock seals faster, way faster.

the link from above has some sweet shock socks... made of neoprene (spandex)... although the guy hasn't wrote me back... methinks i am just gonna pick up some spandex at the local fabric shock and make my own. right now i just use the balloon method; it works pretty well, but they eventually rip or dry-rot.
we all took home-ec at some point, right? how hard can it be to use the sewing machine?
maybe i should just buy them... lol

I race with the guy that makes and sells the shock socks. I dunno why he wouldn't be answering the emails but I know he has been REALLY busy with the GS Storm Pro and helping work out the bugs for GS. He said he distributes to many hobby shops so maybe call around too. They are 100 times better than the balloon crap. Trust me been ther done that. They are washable and balloons seem to limit the spring and socks do not! So continue to email him..His name is Jim!

Believe me... I am pretty darn lazy... :) I'd rather buy them. I'll confirm I am sending the emails to the right address... THX.
