No way, it most definately has to be either of these 2, the Tamyia Hornet/frog/grasshopper for making RC affordable and very available, ask most anyone that has been in RC for a while, they will tell you that these were there first cars, the hornet was mine, the other car would have to be the Original RC10 6 geared tranny, these were the cars to have waaaay back then, they revolutionized off road RC in to what it is now

I agree with the other ppl that say the RC10 is the best r/c car ever built, because with out it you wouldn't have your t3's xxt's xxx4, b3's or rally cars. It really did start r/c off roading.

I agree that Tamiya really made the R/C car hobby available to people who aren't electrical engineers which you practically had to be to operate the earliest cars, you even had to build the transmitter if you go way back!

But, for the all time best R/C car, I'd have to say the RC10. Thats the car that really started competition between manufacturers.

My vote: Associated RC10.

I think the original RC10 had the most impact on our hobby. For modern "best" it would be the XXX.

I'd throw the optima series by kyosho, t-max, and kyosho's 1/8th scale buggie. There's a number of different ways to look at that question.

In terms of rc trucks I would have to say the Original Blackfoot from Tamiya. Why? Becuase were would rc monster and racing trucks be today. Doen't forget all the comapnies that used to make hoppups for it back in the day. It would be nice if some hoppup manufacturers would make hoppup parts for the King Blackfoot!:cool:

For me it would be the Kyosho Ultima. Man I loved that thing. My first real car. So what if I had to bend the chassis back everytime I hit something :D A close second is the Losi JRX2. Best buggy body ever:p

RC10GT all the way. If you want to be even more general, the RC10 design is by far the most successful since its the basic platform that every modern rear wheel drive truck or buggy is based on.

Its pretty safe to say anything from Associated or Losi. When released their kits are always top of the line race machines.

Some other greats were the Clod, I'm suprised that hasn't been mentioned yet. You have to throw the T/E-Maxx in there for their contributions to the hobby's growth.

Tamiya and Traxxas products in general for quality and afordablity.

All in all my favorite is probably the RC10T3. Great, great race machine. Wish I still had mine.

RC10gt?TC3?.....come on guys,think a little harder:D Anyways for car i say the Tamiya Avante(i still say to this day it could have won many championships) for its all out balls to the wall design and the fact that when it came out it made other manufacturers shake in their boots and say "what the $%&@ is that"....."our (you fill in the blanks:D )is grass!!!" Ok,now for the truck....hmmmm,let me think....got it!!! I say The Mrp Highroller cause it helped shape monster trucks as we know them today and besides,the sucker was huge!!! lol :D

I would have to say any custom Rc car. It seems that the customs are always the best at what they are made for. But in terms of being produced I would go with Thunder Quake.
