going to use a speed 480, and 7 Cp1300scr. 16" not 18, and 8" wide.

Your boat came out great! Was it kit or scratchbuild? Were did you get it? If it is a kit I would definately want one! Also, was there a cowl included?

I've also a hydromite and the only way to get the running hardware is to make them.....

Looks good, keep us posted...

Sorry to ressurect a very old thread but I am wondering about some of the hardware... The plans call for OCTURA flex shaft, prop shaft, drive dog and bearings.... I thought I could find this at my local hobby store but no luck. They didn't even have something compatible... Looking at tower hobbies leaves me dumbfounded as to what all is needed to buy. I plan to build the rudder, turn fin, and strut myself (tho I don't know where to get a "nosepiece"), but I have to assume you don't build the shaft and couplers and drive dogs yourself. I need to know what all I need to buy from Towerhobbies if I have the motor and prop (1/8") and it doesn't appear as cut and dry as a complete noob would like it to be....

Any suggestions from guys that know or have built one of the hydromites or something similar?

Thanks in advance...

Jonathan

offshoreelectrics.com has some hardware for a micro rigger that might do the trick. you should be able to get all you need there to finish your boat.
