WOW!!! What a sweet track. My nearest off road track is about a 5 and a 1/2 hour drive :(

We only have 2 off road clubs the other one is in the South Island which means a 2 hr drive a 2 hr boat trip and a further drive of about 6 hrs.

See, now THAT is a DIRT track designed for OFF ROAD racing !

These boring, darn-near-paved tracks are just silly in my opinion. Oh well ...

Oh did i mention it is TEN minutes from my house? Its a mom&pop place, Jan and her husband Shelley run the place, great people they are so nice... need i mention that there is going to be a HUGE off-road regional here (Sugar Hill, Georgia) on the weekend of October 13th, we will be running all classes.... so make ur plans to come out and see us.. oh and the website for our track is www.sugarbowlrc.com (http://www.sugarbowlrc.com) if you want to get a flyer for the big race, hehe we have a banked concrete oval track AND a paved asphalt track for on-road as well... great place! It may be silly but at least Its mine (or at least I race there :)) Nothin like some good ol Iowa soil. :)

This was from opening day. The track looks nothing like that anymore. The step on the front straightaway was removed and two huge doubles were added in there (on the back and middle straights). Plus, there were some minor changes to the layout.

T3: Interesting stating grid! We start our races motocross-type, its great to watch 10 Tmaxxes go! 8 of em usually wreck before the big jump after the first turn!!!!! Hehe

I am sure may have seen this before but this is my local track and is only about 2 hrs from Spinners track! Say spinner ....think there will be a big turnout for xtreme race? hey smitty- where in Iowa are you? i'm in Waterloo! in Cedar Falls they have a track called Extreme R/C.

What kind of track do they have at extreme RC? I've never heard of it before. The pic above is outback2 raceway. Its inbetween Dallas Center and Grimes on a farm (thats pretty specific there are probably 30 farms were I described :)). But I live in the itty bitty town of boxholm. Its about 30 miles south of Fort Dodge, and about 35 miles north west of Ames. For a better disciption of outback2 look in the track index of rcca. Hope to see you racing some time :).

Nitro: Yeah, we are expecting about 80 guys at this point and im sure that number will rise soon..... once every1 sees how much the bowl just rules..... Aiken is nice i was there for the watermelon race (where 5 of our guys were in the A-Main) but i still like the bowl.

I cant find pictures of my track. Its indoors, hard clay. Its the closest but i dont like it too much. Then again there are some nice trophy girls and Matt Francis made a long trip just to race at the "March Madness" event. Dont believe me? Check out the June Issue of Car Action. The title was something like: Francis pulls a Nor-Easter, or something like that.
