Why are they coming out with another sedan when the XXX-S isn't even out yet?

Trinity is not Team Losi. Two different companies.

Wow, thanks for bringing that up Mr. SteveP.
What exactly happenned a few years ago when Trinity and Losi "merged" or some such nonsense ?
I mean they were always pimping each others' stuff. I don't remember what it was but they did join somehow ... or was it just a nightmare I am remembering ?
The whole idea of distributers buying manufacturers has me disturbed even more ...
JR, Losi, Dynamite, Hanger9, and on and on are all owned by Horizon Hobby.
How do you suppose this impacts the industry, competitive wise ?
Now you can't buy Losi from Tower Hobbbies because .... ? Hmmm take a wild guess.

Jeep - I sense a note of sarcasm. For your information, they did attempt some type of merge a couple years ago, but it didn't work out. It only lasted about six months and they went their separate ways. Team Losi is now "owned" (if that's the proper word) by Horizon Hobbies. So, when someone says, "Why are they coming out with another sedan when the XXX-S isn't even out yet?" I can only assume they are as much in the dark about the status of the relationship between Trinity and Team Losi as you... :D

BTW - Team Losi cars are no longer available through Tower Hobbies for the same reason Kyosho cars are not available through Horizon Hobby.

Well I wouldn't buy a whole lot from Tower Hobbies anyway, I buy as much as I possibly can from Horizon Hobby. They are awesome! About everything! If you have a problem of any sort they can take care of it 99% of the time for you or refer you to someone who can if they can't the other one. I'm glad that they are getting stuff out of Great Planes hands, they are real jerks who don't really care as much about the consumer as they do about lining their pockets.
But your right, their can be monopolies, but I don't see much of a problem at this point, Horizon is still a great company.
There's my two cents, and that is just my opinion not gospel or anything, I've worked with both companies closely over the past years and that's what I have seen myself.
Well have fun!

That pretty much sums up Trinity in a nutshell. Once you've bought, they couldn't care less about their customer.

HauntedMyst, while I do not feel nearly as strong about it as you, I do kinda get that feeling from them.
If companies like AE and Traxxas are on one side of this hobby, clearly Trinity is on the other. They really don't seem to be true to the hobby.
They are a big, bright, purple, marketing machine !
And just another note: If you think any company on this planet is not in business to make money, you need a wake up call. It's just that some hide it better than others ;)
Peace

I'm afraid it's not that juicy. They each simply have their exclusive product lines that they don't buy and sell between themselves.
On a separate note, this thread has taken a decidedly negative turn so...
