I need some suggestions for tires to use for messing around on the street or driveway - asphalt or concrete. I picked up a pair of t-specs for my son and myself, we'll probably fiddle around with racing at the local track at some point but that's carpet, so foam tires (we'll get those later.)

I assume that rubber tires will hold up better for street use? Trinity lists the TRI90803 for the t-spec but Tower doesn't carry that particular tire. Can anyone suggest something that Tower DOES carry that is similar, that will fit on the rims that came with the cars?

For messing around, I always liked the HPI X-Pattern Low Profile tire. They seemed to hold up quite well and gave pretty good traction. Anything with a really agressive tread just burns up too fast anyway.

Any tire that has a hard compound and is belted will last you many runs. If your driving by curbs or speed bumps, i HIGHLY reccomnet dish rims, youll save alot in the long run going with this set-up.
