leaky big bores,,, dont understand....

ok i bought my traxxas big bore shocks in febuary. and in like july i noticed on of the rear shocks leak really bad at the bottom of the shock were the plastic o ring thingy is. can some body tell me how to fix this??? thanks

The sealing o-ring probably is damaged and causing the leak. More than likely, the shock shaft got some debris on it, and when it compressed into the shock body the debris cut the o-ring. You will need to replace the seal. I don't know anything about those shocks, so I can't help out with the steps you need to take to do that. Shock boots help to keep debris from damaging the seals.

ok thanks for the help! i was thinking that was it but i wanted a second opinion. now i got to try and track down some o-rings fron hobby town usa (good-luck).

Just buy a new rebuild kit for it, i have the big bores also, and they were doing the same thing, it comes with everything, the plastic shield, bushings, bladder at the top, expansion ring, and o rings, for like 3 bucks, and instructions
